Our journey didn't begin in a culinary school, nor did it start as a business venture. It began at home, out of a simple, universal desire: wanting the absolute best for our child.
A Parent's Promise, A Scientist's Approach
As secondary school Biology teachers, we spend our days explaining the complex wonders of nature. With a deep understanding of biotechnology, we are trained to look closely at what goes into the human body. When our son was born, we started reading the labels on the desserts, cakes, and ice creams available in the market.
What we saw concerned us. We realized that many commercial treats were packed with artificial colors, synthetic emulsifiers, and stabilizers that are unsuitable for young, developing bodies. We knew exactly how these ingredients worked on a biological level, and we decided that our son deserved better.
So, we stepped into the kitchen.
The Birth of Dr. Scoop's
We began crafting our own ice creams from scratch, treating our kitchen like a laboratory where only the purest, safest ingredients were allowed. We wanted to create a dessert that was not only incredibly delicious but completely safe for a child to enjoy.
The name "Dr. Scoop's" is a tribute to this meticulous, research-driven approach. We dug into the science of freezing point depression, perfected our churn rates for the ideal dense texture, and sourced the finest natural ingredients. We replaced harmful commercial shortcuts with authentic dairy and natural botanical stabilizers.
What started as a labor of love for our son quickly became a passion we couldn't keep to ourselves.
